ISABELLENHÜTTE provides a wide range of alloys (see data-table) that are able to fulfill exactly our customer's needs. The range of applications starts with our high precision resistance alloys like MANGANIN® (developed by ISABELLENHÜTTE), ZERANIN® 30 and ISAOHM®. These alloys are characterized by a low temperature coefficient (TC). MANGANIN® is especially characterized by a parabolic shape of R(T) curve between 20 and 50 °C. MANGANIN® and ZERANIN® 30 also show a low EMF reading versus copper and a very high stability of electrical resistance.
The second group of alloys can be used for resistors, shunts for current sensing, braking resistors and many more electronic applications as well as heating solutions such as heating cable, heating cords and floor heating. Most of these alloys can be used for both resistors and heating applications, but some are more suitable for one function. For more specific information please have a look at our data sheets.
The last group is composed of alloys with special applications like temperature measurement by using a high and exactly defined temperature coefficient (special Nickel), alloys with a high oxidation resistance (pure Nickel), thermo sensitive resistors (Resistherm) and so on.
All our alloys work in accordance with national and international standards as well as individual specifications of our customers.
Our product range for all our alloys:
soft annealed and hard drawn wires, bare or insulated
enameled wires, also available silk, rayon or glass fiber insulation
soft annealed and hard rolled flat wires
soft annealed and hard rolled ribbons and sheets
foil material and stranded wires
tubes
All products are available with hardness to your specification.
As a service to our customers and to assure our quality standard, we operate a calibration laboratory in the German Calibration Service (DKD), whose measurement standards are subject to continuously repeated tests by the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB Physical Technical Federal Institute) in Berlin and Brunswick. This calibration lab (registration number DKD-K-03101) is accredited for thermal (temperature) and electrical (resistance, voltage) measuring parameters by PTB. The chemical and physical properties of our alloys are determined by our modern measuring and analysis facilities including optical emission spectrometer, REM, EDX analysis, laser micrometers at drawing and testing machines, tensile strength tester, elongation and hardness testing equipment.
